Christmas Story Musical Coming To Fox This Holiday Season

It may be Spring, but in Hollywood there's news involving Christmas music.  It seems that Fox has greenlit the Christmas Story musical to be shown 'live' on the network in December.  This being a Christmas Music-related project, we have to point out that while we adore the movie....music and songs aren't something that jump out to us.  So, there's good news here for X-mas music fans:  we bet that we'll be getting some new songs into the canon of Christmas tunes once this show goes from stage to primetime.

From Variety:
A Christmas Story” will be the subject of the next live musical at Fox, Variety has learned.
The production, which will air this December, will be based on the Broadway musical version of the beloved film of the same name, about a Midwestern boy named Ralphie who wants nothing more than a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. The film has achieved cult status since its release in 1983, with TBS annually airing a 24-hour marathon of the film during the holiday season.

Despite this news, it is still not time to listen to Christmas music, folks.
