Despite This Matthew Broderick Christmas Story News, It Still Isn't Time for X-Mas Music

From Variety, we find out that they've cast Matthew Broderick in the narrator voice for the upcoming "Live" Christmas Story performance that Fox is putting on this season.  From the story:
Matthew Broderick has signed on for the role of the adult Ralphie narrator in Fo’s live staging of a musical based on the beloved 1983 film “A Christmas Story.”
... Broderick will take on the voice-over work handled in the film by Jean Shepherd, the late humorist and radio host who wrote the 1966 short story that inspired in the movie.
... Broderick is no stranger to the stage. He has two Tonys under his belt and a long list of credits ranging from “Brighton Beach Memoirs” to “The Producers” to most recently “It’s Only a Play.” His past TV credits include guest shots on “30 Rock” and “Modern Family.”
We don't care if you love this or hate this (we love it!).  Still doesn't change things.  No Christmas music just yet.

Yes! Today is *The* Day!

It has been 311 long, agonizing days.  But we made it!  Today marks the turning point towards the holiday season.  Sure, there's still that pesky Thanksgiving and it's needy stuffing to be dealt with, but let's be honest:  it is all Christmas from here on out.

And that means, officially, that we can now tune into Christmas music.  Go ahead, break out the She and Him Holiday record.  Or that weird Bob Dylan Christmas in the Heart album from a few years back.  You can!  Nobody is going to judge.

The countdown clock on the homepage now says ZERO.  Let's celebrate with a little "Baby it's cold outside."

The Hour is Upon Us

Less than 24 hours until we can crank it up and put away the Halloween stuff.
